This is an important notice to editors of the RTR Wiki regarding publishing dates onto articles on the site. The following announcement is intended to decrease confusion and improve readability when readers view dates on the wiki.
The RTR Wiki is viewed, edited and accessed by community members world wide. This can create confusion when community members read certain dates. For example, when reading the date 6/4/2022, readers may apply the date format most commonly used in their country, instead of the date format intended. People from the USA will interpret that date as June 4th 2022, however people from other parts of the world will interpret it as the 6th of April 2022.
When writing dates on the RTR Wiki, please follow the following date format: day (in number form) month (in word form) year (in number form). For example, Christmas is on 25 December 2024, and Halloween is on 31 October 2024. Alternatively, you can shorten this date format by reducing the month to just three letters (25 Dec 2024, 31 Oct 2024).
Thank you in advance for abiding by this important announcement. As of today, 9 October 2024, any RTR Wiki articles that do not follow this date format will be edited to reflect this announcement. If you need any further clarification or you have any questions, feel free to ask in the replies.
