It's not for everyone, it's only for members who once were/are from trade-esque servers, Roli, .trade, Realm etc. Over the years people will change their name and become inactive and surely you won't remember them all, nor will they remember you. So letting people know what role you played in a community once it disbands helps them remember who you were just in case they forget you as a result of going inactive for months/years.
